PCB Clarifies Misleading Reports About PSL Team Names

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied rumors about the names of two new teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The board clarified that no final decision has been made regarding the cities for the new teams, addressing widespread PSL new team name rumors.

Recent media reports suggested that the cities of Faisalabad and Gilgit might be chosen for the two new teams in PSL 11. However, PCB has confirmed that these claims are not accurate and the team names have not been finalized.

PCB stated that six cities have been shortlisted for the new teams. These include Faisalabad, Gilgit, Sialkot, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, and Muzaffarabad. The final city names will be selected by the successful bidders.

The board explained that the official process allows winning bidders to choose any city from the shortlisted options for their team. Offers from local and international investors are still being accepted, with the deadline for technical proposals set for December 15.

PCB emphasized that no official team names have been confirmed yet. The board asked media and fans not to speculate, stressing that all decisions will follow the formal process, and this clarification directly addresses the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) new team name rumors.
